Artist's rendition of Mike sitting on his throne

Mike's Throne is a metaphor for Mike Petriello's arrogant, snobby attitude when viewing the Dodgers from his hometown of New York, according to Scott Andes from Lasorda's Lair.

Origin[]

After an argument with Mike on twitter where Scott said that Mike was being paid by Mattingly to defend him and Mike called him a troll, Scott tweeted , "[Mike] sits up in his NY throne calling people names."

Usage on MSTI[]

Mike's throne is referenced in jest whenever Mike does something that can be interpreted as snobby.  Mike himself has endearingly accepted the joke, commenting once that "blackouts are for peasant folk" since he worked with MLB.TV in the past and has access to a blackout-free account.
